Gift for a winner of a motorcycle

A friend was the lucky winner of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It reminded me of the time I had won one too. I was inspired to make a multimedia canvas as a gift for him. Tim Holtz dies and Stampin Up Stamps were used to make this canvas.  Advertisements

Stationary gift set

I watched a lot of videos to learn to create this little box. It holds 5 A2 sized cards, 3×3 cards, tags, post notes, postal stamps and a pen. The cards were all made of scraps and Stampin Up stamp sets I had on my desk. I just love this designer paper. It’s so beautiful.

Kiss card group

I am trying to do easy but stunning cards with the group. Here is what we made this week and some extension ideas. I love the season stamp and die set. The wreaths were made with the new leaf punch. What a great way to use up scraps!

Apricot Cottage Journal Group

We started our journal group last night. We talked about getting a journal started and used Tim Holtz inks to make our background. Here is the page I did for my fashion theme journal. I was showing some techniques and accidently did my page upside down in my book. Ah well a mistake is a…

A huge haul from Local King Rubber Stamp

These stamps and matching dies will be beautiful in the nature book I am creating. All the stamps are creatures and plants you can find in a beautiful pond. These are Canadian designed.

Crafty Lady has arrived

My order from Ellen Hudson arrived today. This is the Crafty Lady stamp and die set by Brandi. I can hardly wait to play!

Yipppee! My Stitch Happy machine finally arrived!

This was my birthday gift from the hubby many months ago. It finally arrived 6 months after it was preordered. I can hardly wait to start sewing with it. It is very light so I hope it has a strong motor as advertised to sew through paper with thick thread. It’s pretty cute though and…

Quilted pillows

I made a couple of quilted pillows to match the queen sized quilt that now resides in Australia. These are a birthday gift for my middle daughter. I still have plenty of fabric left. Maybe a table runner now?

Catalog open house

To celebrate the New Stampin Up catalog I had an Open House party. Customers enjoyed daisy cupcakes and lemonade while drooling over all the lovely new possibilities. The make-and-take was a library pocket decorated with daisy sramps to hold a packet of flower seeds. There was a door prize and goodie bags too. Each customer…

Grandma and me class

Today some little girls came with their  honorary    grandmothers to craft together and make some gifts for their mums. We made a card, a goodie bag with treats to share and a pretty box to hold a beaded bracelet. The girls did the decorations and the adults helped with the tricky parts. We used…

Canadian pillow

Celebrating Canada’s 150 birthday this year so I made this large bench pillow. The front was free motion quilted. The back of the pillow was pieced with the fabric scraps. This was a kit I purchased at the Oliver Double O Quilt Show last month. Thanks to my friend Helen Lawrence for the tips and…

T shirt designs

The designs in these two shirts were stencilled with colour remover on black cotton shirts. Then I painted over the bleached portions with fabric paint. On one I foiled stars and added fabric glitter.
